US music streaming revenues jump 20 percent to USD 8.8 bln in 2019

US music industry revenues grew 13 percent last year to USD 11.1 billion, lifted again by paid subscription streaming services, which made up nearly 80 percent of the total, according to the latest report from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Revenues from streaming advanced 20 percent in the year to USD 8.8 billion. The study takes into account the premium subscription services of Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music and Amazon as well as on-demand streaming services including YouTube, Vevo and the ad-supported Spotify.
