Verizon Wireless ceases online orders of iPhone 4
Verizon Wireless ceased online orders of the Apple iPhone 4 to existing customers and ended what it said was the most successful first day sales in the history of the company on 3 February at 20:10 hours. The general market launch of the iPhone 4 on the Verizon Wireless network will occur on 10 February. The company will open its more than 2,000 Verizon Wireless Communications Stores at 7:00 hours. It will also be available at all Apple store locations, Best Buy, select Wal-Mart stores, and online at verizonwireless.com and apple.com.

Verizon Wireless has changed its contract terms to allow the mobile operator to reduce mobile broadband speeds for heavy users. Apple will ship around 12.1 million CDMA iPhones through Verizon and other global CDMA wireless carriers in 2011.
