Vipnet names former Combis chief to lead enterprise business

Croatian operator Vipnet has announced that Ivan Gabric will become CEO for the Business User Segment and a new member of the board of directors, starting from 20 August. Gabric built his career in companies such as Infosistem, IBM Croatia and Hewlett-Packard Adriatic Region, and was also CEO of Croatian systems integrator Combis, acquired by HT.

The appointment follows the mobile operator's expansion into the business market with the takeover of Metronet last year. At the start of 2018, it formed Vip Metronet Business Solutions to lead the enterprise business.

Croatian operator Vipnet has launched a package of 5 Planetsport premium sports channels that will air UEFA Champions League matches for the next 3 years. Vipnet to change name to A1 by end 2018

Croatian telecommunications operator Vipnet has announced that it will change its name to the unified A1 brand by the end of 2018. The introduction of the A1 brand on all the markets where A1 Telekom Austria Group is active aims to strengthen its position on the European telecommunications market and enable all A1 customers to have a consistent and unique brand service. Users will not need to replace SIM cards, numbers, modems or any equipment, and all services and agreed processes will function as before.

Croatian operator Vipnet announced that its business offering Vip Metronet Business Solutions now includes an automated platform that enables companies to detect security threats and incidents. Using artificial intelligence, the Vectra Cognito solution monitors the company's network (physical and virtual infrastructure) and provides insight into attacks and behavior of attackers, covering all devices and systems, from cloud-based solutions and data centres to the IoT.
