UK operator Virgin Media has announced a new bundle line-up, available from 29 April, bringing all its fixed and mobile services together for the first time. This bundle will combine broadband, TV, mobile and landline products. New and existing customers can access broadband speeds of up to 500 Mbps, add a mobile SIM to any broadband bundle, and build their own personalised TV service with a selection of new channel packs, which will be changed every month.
This new top-tier V.VIP entertainment and connectivity bundle costs GBP 99 per month for new customers on a 12-month contract (GBP 139 per month thereafter), with the 500 Mbps speed available exclusively for V.VIP customers. Virgin is also introducing 'boost your bundle' for customers to add a mobile SIM to their broadband bundle, with customers getting faster broadband speeds when they add a SIM. The available SIMs range from 2GB to unlimited data, texts and calls, with average broadband speeds offered in boosted bundles increasing from 50 to 100 Mbps, from 100 to 200 Mbps, and from 200 to 350 Mbps. Customers can change their mobile data allowance each month.
The new Personal Picks feature will allow customers to pick and mix their TV options to create a personalised TV service, available with the Player bundle. Customers can choose from four Entertainment Picks - Entertainment & Sport Lite, Entertainment & Lifestyle, Entertainment & Documentaries, and Entertainment & Drama. Each Pick includes Sky One, Sky Witness, Comedy Central HD and Gold HD, plus other channels and box-sets. Customers can add one Pick to their bundle for GBP 10 per month, with subsequent Picks costing GBP 7 per month. These Picks can also be changed each month.
