Virgin Media sees higher RGUs, lower churn in Q1

Virgin Media reported 31,000 net additions in the fourth quarter, pushed by record sales in the UK but partially offset by higher churn on the back of UK price rises in November. Customer churn increased to 14.8 percent in the quarter from 14.3 percent the year before but is expected to go lower in the next quarter. RGU net additions amounted to 28,000 in the quarter. Virgin Media said it expects RGU additions to go significantly higher in the first quarter than in Q4, on the back of the lower churn.
