Vivo picks Ericsson as supplier for 4G/LTE network
Brazilian mobile operator Vivo has selected Ericsson to supply and implement a 4G/LTE network in the North and Mid-Western regions of Brazil, as well as the states of Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, Bahia and Sergipe. Ericsson is selected as supplier for Vivo's 4G/LTE network, which will feature Ericsson's latest RBS 6000 multi-standard radio base stations. Under the terms of the agreement, Ericsson will also be in charge of network implementation, including network rollout, design and support services.

Vivo confirms Ericsson, Huawei as 4G suppliers

Brazilian operator Telefónica/Vivo confirmed Huawei and Ericsson as suppliers for the implementation of its LTE network in Brazil. In detail, Ericsson will be responsible for the core of the 4G network and the access network in the North, Midwest and states of Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais and Bahia. Huawei will cover the cities of Fortaleza, Recife and Rio de Janeiro, as well as the South and Northeast (except Bahia) and the state of Rio de Janeiro.

Vivo, Ericsson extend Amazon Connected project

Brazilian operator Vivo has teamed up with Ericsson on the Amazon Connected project in Brazil. Oi selects NSN, Ericsson, Alcatel for 4G network - report

Brazilian telecommunications operator Oi has selected suppliers Nokia Siemens, Ericsson and Alcatel Lucent for the construction of its 4G mobile network, an informed told Reuters on October 10. Brazilian telecommunications operator Oi carried out 4G field tests during the 56th Telebrasil Panel in Brasilia, a two-day telecoms conference. Claro launches LTE pilot in three Brazilian cities

Claro Brazil has launched a LTE network trial in three Brazilian cities, Campos do Jordao (state of Sao Paulo), Buzios and Parati (state of Rio de Janeiro). The statement was made by Claro Brasil CEO Carlos Zenteno at the Qualcomm IQ 2012 event, Teletime reports.
