Vodafone beats Wind in bid for Cyta Hellas - report

Vodafone has beat Wind Hellas in the bidding to acquire Cyprus operator Cyta's Greek operations, according to information leaked to the Cypriot press and reported by Naftemporiki.gr. Vodafone reportedly offered around EUR 120 million for Cyta Hellas.

Cyta confirmed last month that Vodafone and Wind Hellas each made binding offers for the company. The Cypriot operator's board is expected to decide on the winning bid at a meeting on 08 January.
