Vodafone Greece enters partnerships with HBO, Amazon, opens up TV service to other networks

Vodafone Greece entered into an exclusive partnership with HBO in Greece to secure the exclusive rights to HBO's content for its Vodafone TV cable TV subscription service. In addition, Vodafone announced it's unbundling its TV package from the rest of its services, meaning Wind or Cosmote customers can also watch VTV by getting a set-top box for their TV that Vodafone offers for free with every subscription. HBO content was previously available in the country through satellite platform Nova.

All Vodafone TV subscribers can watch the HBO programmes, such as Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Girls, Boardwalk Empire, Westworld, Euphoria, Sharp Objects, The Night Of and True Detective. At the same time, each month, Vodafone TV's On Demand catalog will welcome new HBO series in Greece, such as The Outsider, Avenue 5, and The Undoing. Mini-series, documentaries, movies, docu-series and all the content of HBO will be constantly updated with new suggestions in the special On Demand category of Vodafone TV.

Vodafone TV adds Amazon Prime Video

Customers of all Greek telecommunications networks will be able to enjoy the renewed Vodafone TV through a single service. The service price is fixed at EUR 9.40 per month, which includes the decoder, so that all consumers can access the new upgraded content of Vodafone TV.

At the same time, Vodafone TV has added access to Amazon Prime Video over its platform. In addition, it offers the special menu Vodafone TV Kids, with content specially designed for children, as well as parental control functionalities. Vodafone TV will also soon be available through a smart TV app.
