Vodafone Greece releases 100 Mbps home internet service
Vodafone Greece released Vodafone Home Speed + technology that increases the speed of home internet services to over 100 Mbps. The service blends the possibilities of the fixed and mobile networks in order to achieve the top speed, innovation for both the Greek and international markets, the operator said. Vodafone customers interested in acquiring Home Speed + can become acquainted with the service in selected Vodafone shops. Rival Cosmote also recently launched a similar service integrating fixed and mobile access for home broadband.

Vodafone Greece service revenues fall 1.3% in Q3

The weak economic climate in Greece led to a further deterioration in Vodafone's revenue growth in the latest quarter to December. Vodafone Greece saw a 1.3 percent organic decline in service revenue to the equivalent of GBP 139 million, compared to a fall of only 0.3 percent in the previous quarter. Cosmote launches fixed-mobile hybrid broadband service

Greek operator Cosmote announced the initial launch of its hybrid internet service, using both DSL and mobile internet. The service launches at selected stores in Athens and Thessaloniki and will expand to more areas in the course of this year. Wind Hellas reaches half million fixed-internet customers

Wind Hellas announced that it's offering its half a million fixed and internet subscribers F-Secure security software free for a year. The service, which protects up to three computers or mobile devices, normally costs EUR 59.90 per year. Announcing it has 500,000 customers now for fixed telephony and DSL internet, Wind said its network has reached 4,400 km of fibre and 250 colocations, covering 70 percent of fixed lines in the country.

OTE to adopt Cosmote brand for all activities
