Vodafone Ireland sets up European sales centre
Vodafone Ireland plans to set up a new European sales centre located in Carrickmines in Dublin. The investment of EUR 60 million will result in the creation of 200 new permanent jobs. The new 'Vodafone Red Edge' centre will provide specialist sales capability to support business customers in Ireland, the UK and the Netherlands. The investment is supported by IDA Ireland. Vodafone has committed to a 5-year EUR 60 million investment following a successful pilot scheme. Carrickmines will be the principal European location, with two additional support hubs located in Central and Southern Europe.

Vodafone Ireland ordered to amend cancellation information

Vodafone Ireland has been ordered by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission to inform customers how they can cancel their contracts. Following a review of information provided by Vodafone to consumers, the Commission found that the operator was failing to comply with consumer law. It has now been issued with Compliance Notices directing it to amend information provided to consumers to ensure that customers have the correct cancellation process available to them.

Vodafone UK adds more 4G roaming destinations

Vodafone UK has made 4G available in more destinations worldwide. Customers can now use 4G in Albania, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Jordan and Mauritius, bringing the total number of destinations worldwide where they can use 4G to 63.

Vodafone Ireland adds 18,000 contract customers in Q1

Vodafone Ireland added 18,000 net new contract customers in the three months (Q1) to 30 June to end with a total of 2.01 million mobile customers. The operator also registered 18,000 net pre-paid disconnections in the quarter. Vodafone UK ends Q1 with 4.7 mln 4G customers

Vodafone saw its UK service revenue increase 0.2 percent year-on-year in the first quarter ending 30 June to GBP 1.43 billion, supported by a continued strong performance in mobile consumer contract. Vodafone UK boosts Swindon, Basingstoke networks

Vodafone UK has announced new multi-million investments to improve indoor and outdoor coverage and mobile internet services across its 3G and 4G network in Swindon and Basingstoke. This will boost 3G and 4G mobile coverage to more than 98 of the population in both towns.
