Vodafone, Kabel Deutschland offer quad-play package

Vodafone Germany and Kabel Deutschland are merging their services and launching a plan with the English name 'All-in-One', providing mobile and fixed telephony and internet service as well as television. From EUR 49.89 per month for the first year, the plan offers Vodafone Red Smartphone tariffs with either 1.5 GB, 3 GB or 8 GB data and unlimited texts and calls to all German networks and fixed lines, as well as LTE access at up to 100 Mbps.

The price rises to EUR 69.89 from the thirteenth month. In addition, Kabel Deutschland's 'Internet & Telefon 100' tariff with unlimited calls to German landlines and broadband at up to 100 Mbps is included in the package, too. The optional TV service costs EUR 10.00 per month extra.

Kabel Deutschland cancels former O2 contracts

Kabel Deutschland is cancelling old O2 contracts if customers do not change their subscription to a Vodafone product, Inside-handy.de reports. All affected customers are supposed to receive a letter with details about the changes. It is possible that some contracts are terminated automatically if the current conditions are not offered by a Vodafone product; otherwise a change to a suitable Vodafone tariff is suggested.

Vodafone Germany launches new internet and TV bundle

Vodafone has started to offer its IPTV service 'Vodafone TV' for EUR 5 less per month without a fixed line flat rate, dslweb.de reports. The 'Internet & TV' tariffs include the same services as the 'Internet & Phone & TV' tariffs, such as the DSL connection fee, all Vodafone TV components and the 'Vodafone TV Center' receiver. The 'Internet & TV DSL 16' tariff costs EUR 34.99 per month. The service is also available with 25, 50 and 100 Mbps; the monthly fee increases by EUR 5 with every speed level.

Kabel Deutschland mobile subs move from O2 to Vodafone

Vodafone subsidiary and German cable network operator Kabel Deutschland has started to alert mobile customers, who use the network of O2 Germany, that they will be transferred to Vodafone Germany's network as the contract with Telefonica Germany runs out at the end of April of this year, reports teltariff.de. The operator has a special offer for customers to transfer to the Vodafone network, which is valid until 31 March of this year.

Kabel Deutschland offers promotion for HD TV

Kabel Deutschland offers a promotion on its HD TV package for new subscribers. During the first year of the 24-month contract, customers can watch high-resolution TV with time-shift features for EUR 14.99 instead of EUR 22.99 per month. Vodafone Germany has restructured its tariffs for telephony and internet, and optional television. The provider is also offering a premium for new customers changing their provider. Vodafone Germany organic service revenues down 1% in Q3

Vodafone Germany reported organic service revenue down 1.0 percent year-on-year in its fiscal third quarter to December. The result excludes Kabel Deutschland. The drop in service revenue slowed from 3.4 percent in the previous quarter, helped by continued growth in the contract customer base. A total 11.8 million MB were used on the Vodafone network in in a single day in Berlin in December 2013. Kabel Deutschland investor sues over Vodafone bid price
