Vodafone NZ records 90.4 TB data consumption on New Year's Eve, up almost 29%

Vodafone New Zealand said Kiwis consumed over 90.4 TB on New Year's Eve, an increase of almost 29 percent from the 64.4 TB used up the year before. The company said it made quite extensive preparations ahead of the expected surge, upgrading sites and adding cell sites on wheels (COWS). By contrast, the number of text messages sent in the night fell 11 percent to 5.53 million from 6.2 million.
