Vodafone Italia has signed an agreement with Telecom Italia for sharing transmission sites. The agreement, which extends a previous contract that expired, covers 9,860 sites at the two operators, to be shared for the coming six years. The agreement can be renewed and is open to any interested third parties. The contract covers existing and future sites and only passive network infrastructure. Vodafone earlier announced a deal with Telecom Italia's shareholder Telefonica to share infrastructure inother European markets.
