Vodafone Spain will launch a new TV service for customers connected to the internet via ADSL and VDSL technology on 07 March, reports website Neeo. The operator’s TV service has thus far been limited to fibre-optic and cable customers. The price of the new ADSL-based offer will be similar to the fibre TV service, but no details are available about its precise content. A new TiVo-style device will be installed, albeit with a completely new interface, added the report.
The news comes after Vodafone reported that its TV customer base in Spain had risen to over 1 million on 31 December, including 100,000 new subscriptions in the final three months of the year thanks to the success of its Vodafone One converged service.
