Vodafone to move Dutch CEO to Germany
Vodafone Netherlands confirmed its CEO Jens Schulte-Bockum is moving to sister company Vodafone Germany. Earlier reports cited an internal letter to employees from Vodafone Germany's CEO Friedrich Joussen saying that Vodafone's supervisory board would meet on 29 March to appoint Schulte-Bockum as his successor. Joussen added that he could stay with Vodafone to take on an international role. Schulte-Bockum has been head of the Dutch unit since 2008 and is already a board member at the German operation. He joined the Vodafone Group in 2003 and worked in positions such as Global Director of Terminals. Vodafone Netherlands announced Schulte-Bockum's departure late last year, and he is expected to step down at the end of this month. He will be succeeded by Rob Shuter, the current CFO of Vodacom Group, a mobile operator in Africa controlled by Vodafone.

Vodafone Germany to refresh CallYa tariffs from 18 April

Vodafone Germany will refresh its CallYa tariff range on 18 April to offer two pre-paid basic tariffs, reports teltarif.de. The CallYa Smartphone Fun tariff will be targeted at smartphone users and will cost EUR 9.99 per month for those up to 25 years age, and EUR 14.99 per month for customers aged 26 and over. Schulte-Bockum joins Vodafone Germany as COO from April

Vodafone Germany's supervisory board has appointed Jens Schulte-Bockum as Chief Operating Officer (COO) with effect from 01 April. The Board also approved the proposed changes to CEO, with Schulte-Bockum taking over from Fritz Joussen as CEO from 01 October. Joussen had led Vodafone Germany as COO and CEO for almost ten years. Vodafone said that the changes were were planned to ensure business continuity, and provide assurances for workers and partners.

Vodafone Germany will unveil new LTE devices at Cebit 2012, following the launch of the HTC Velocity 4G smartphone. The HTC device has been available since 01 March for EUR 599.90 without a contract or from EUR 49.90 with a contract. Vodafone Germany to charge extra for LTE

Vodafone Deutschland will introduce an additional charge for customers who opt for the company's new LTE tariffs, according to Heise Online. Vodafone reports stronger sales in Germany

Vodafone Germany reported sales growth of 0.7 percent to EUR 2.24 billion in Germany in its fiscal Q3 to December. Vodafone NL CEO Schulte-Bockum to step down in March

Vodafone Netherlands CEO Jens Schulte-Bockum will leave the company in March, to be succeeded by Rob Shuter. Shuter is the CFO and executive director of Vodacom Group, a mobile operator in Africa controlled by Vodafone. Shuter is a South African by birth and has been at Vodacom since July 2009. He previously worked at two South African banks. Schulte-Bockum has been CEO at Vodafone NL since December 2008. No details have been disclosed over his future plans.
