Vodafone UK has awarded BT Wholesale a new 5-year managed access network contract to provide and manage high-speed connectivity between its UK base stations and core national network. The BT solution will allow Vodafone UK to manage the predicted growth in traffic and bandwidth requirements from its new bandwidth-intensive mobile applications. The 5-year contract uses BT's new 21CN-enabled Ethernet service, offering backhaul speeds of up to 60 Mbps.
