WeWorks files for IPO

WeWork, a company providing shared workspaces for tech startups and service providers, said it has confidentially submitted an amended draft registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for its initial public offering. The initial filing was made in December 2018. The company had a

valuation of up to USD 47 billion in January after receiving a USD 6 billion investment from Softbank. 

WeWork has raised over USD 10 billion in total from Softbank since 2017.

WeWork withdraws registration of IPO

WeWork has withdrawn the registration of its initial public offering, originally filed to the US Securities and Exchange Commission on 14 August. Co-CEOs Artie Minson and Sebastian Gunningham said they are postponing the IPO to focus on the company's core business, the fundamentals of which "remain strong." The co-CEOs added that they still intend to operate WeWork as a public company and look forward to revisiting the public equity markets in the future.
