XS4ALL most recommended triple-play provider

XS4ALL is, for the third time in a row, the most recommended triple-play provider in the Netherlands, according to Telecompaper’s latest Word of Mouth (WoM) score report, looking at the triple-play market. Every half-year, Telecompaper publishes a ranking of the most recommended all-in-one providers based on responses from its consumer panel. This report covers the months November 2016 to May 2017.

About three-quarters (76%) of XS4ALL’s triple-play customers said they would recommend the company to family, friends or colleagues. This gives the provider the highest WoM score among the eight largest Dutch triple-play providers. XS4ALL has consistently come first in the survey. The provider is especially appreciated for its reliability and technical support. About 63 percent of all XS4ALL customers recommended the company for its reliability, and 51 percent for its technical support.

Delta rises fast

Delta moved up to second place, just after XS4ALL and quite ahead of KPN, from fifth place in the previous survey. About 71 percent of Delta's triple-play customers recommended the provider, up from 56 percent in the previous six months. Reliability was the most mentioned aspect by those who recommended the provider (55%), followed by connection quality (54%).

KPN remains in the top 3

The third position was taken by KPN, which ranked second in the previous survey. KPN saw its score slip by 2 percentage points, to 61 percent from 63 percent in the second half of 2016. Telfort was still out of the top 3 with 58 percent but moved up one spot to fourth place.

Online.nl and Caiway closed the list with a WoM score of 40. This means that less than half of all Caiway and Online.nl customers would recommend their provider to others. Both providers showed a decrease, from a WoM of 48 percent for Caiway and 46 percent for Online.nl in the previous survey.

Almost 3,500 Dutch people with a triple play subscription to fixed services (television, internet and fixed telephony) gave their opinion about their providers. 

WOM score

In order to clarify what products and services are recommended, Telecompaper introduced the WoM score in 2015 and publishes the WoM score for triple-play providers, mobile operators and smartphones every six months. The WoM score provides a good indication of how satisfied customers are.
