Yahoo! stops services in Korea
Yahoo! has stopped its services in South Korea per 31 December 2012. The company announced in October last year that it would exit the country as the company is focussing its resources on stronger markets. Yahoo! halted all products, services, and content of Yahoo Korea, as well as customer support, Yonhap reports.

Yahoo! acquires social news platform Snip.it

Social news platform, Snip.it has announced it has been acquired by Yahoo!. Snip.it no longer supports snipping, but has built a few options for users to download and export all of their snips. The download link will be available until 21 February. Yahoo! is paying "mid teens" of millions of dollars for the company, according to a source.
