Yandex launches startup investment programme
Yandex has launched Yandex.Factory, a startup investment programme that offers funding opportunities to Russian and international projects. Yandex will finance startup projects with demonstrated potential in their seed or early investment stage. The company is ready to fund a project's technology or product development with up to hundreds of thousands US dollars. To join the Yandex.Factory programme, startup teams in Russia or the CIS can present their projects at the company's traditional open-doors event Yandex.Start, while international teams can send their application at ventures@yandex-team.ru. Yandex has been committed to working with startup projects since June 2010. Since then, the company has hosted the Yandex.Start open-doors event three times, which resulted in the purchase of technologies from WebVisor and Loginza. Yandex.Factory is yet another form of partnership for startups.

Yandex to finance Zenmoney

Yandex has decided to finance the Zenmoney project, a personal accounting and budget planning service. Financing will be provided under Yandex.Factory, the company's investment programme which was launched in April. Yandex launched its first digital map created by the company's own mapmakers, namely a detailed map of Moscow and Moscow region.
