Youfone launches unlimited data plan

Dutch MVNO Youfone has joined the market for unlimited data plans, following similar offers launched by Tele2 and T-Mobile earlier this year. Unlimited 4G internet costs EUR 21 per month, to which customers must add a call/SMS bundle. These include unlimited calls and SMS for EUR 10 or 125 or 275 minutes/SMS for respectively EUR 3.00 and EUR 4.00. 

The unlimited data is subject to a fair-use of 15 GB per month, after which the speed is reduced to 64 Kbps. Other data options in its offer include 1 or 3 GB over 3G for respectively EUR 5 or EUR 12, or 1.75 or 5.5 GB over 4G for EUR 8 or EUR 15. 

To mark the new offer, Youfone has updated its marketing and website, with the new tagling 'Wat you wil' ('What you want'). This replaces its previous ads featuring the schlager fan and apres-ski instructor Marcelino Wunderlich.

Dutch MVNO Youfone has been told to stop advertising its 'unlimited' offer, as the plan carries a clear fair-use limit of 15 GB per month. The Dutch advertising commission RCC issued the decision.

Youfone heeft de mobiele bundels gewijzigd en introduceert een abonnement met onbeperkt mobiel internet. Op een tweejarig contract wordt 125 minuten/sms geboden voor 3,00 euro per maand of 275 voor 4,00 euro. Onbeperkt bellen en sms gaan voor 10 euro in de maand. Om ook mobiel te kunnen internetten, is een van de databundels nodig. Deze beginnen bij 1 GB op 3G voor 5,00 euro in de maand tot 3 GB voor 12 euro. De 4G-bundels beginnen bij 1750 MB voor 8,00 euro (dat is één euro duurder dan dezelfde hoeveelheid

Tele2 NL to give unlim data free for 30 days

Tele2 Netherlands is quietly offering 30 days worth of unlimited data for free to all of its customers, as a gift. The deal is open to people with a 4G suitable phone and only within the country. All existing Tele2 NL customers who use a 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, or 5GB data bundle will, within the coming two weeks, receive the offer, asking them to sign up to the deal by sending an SMS to 1280 within 7 days.

Tele2 Netherlands launches Unlimited plan at EUR 25

Tele2 Netherlands has launched a new Unlimited mobile plan, challenging T-Mobile's similar offer with a lower price. The new offer of unlimited calls, SMS and data in the Netherlands costs EUR 25 per month, compared to EUR 35 for T-Mobile.

T-Mobile NL signs up 100,000 for unlimited plan in 3 months

T-Mobile Netherlands announced that it's signed 100,000 customers for its Go Unlimited plan. Launched in mid-January, the plan offers unlimited calls, SMS and data for EUR 35 per month. T-Mobile said this was fastest it's ever seen a single product sell, and the offer was popular both among consumer and business customers, especially on Sim-only. According to the operator, customers appreciate the 'unbundled' offer with no worries about running out of data, the affordability and the network quality.

T-Mobile Netherlands said it is looking to cause a price war with the introduction of its new 'disruptive' T-Mobile Go Unlimited EU subscription. For EUR 35 per month, Dutch consumers and small business users (up to 20 employees) can get unlimited calling, texting and internet in the Netherlands and the rest of the European Union. For EUR 60 per month, Dutch consumers and business users can enjoy unlimited calling, texting and internet in the US, as well as in the Netherlands and the EU.
