YouSee offers free domestic mobile data from May to September

Danish operator TDC's consumer brand YouSee said it will provide mobile customers with free data for use within Denmark between 01 May and 30 September. There will be an upper limit of 1,000 GB per month. This is because many Danes are expected to spend their holidays within their home nation this year.

The offer applies to those customers who already have mobile data included in their subscription and will be automatic, with no need for activation. YouSee said the 1,000 GB cap is enough to watch 1,000 hours of Netflix video in high definition.

YouSee deal with Nordisk Film enters force on 01 May

Danish operator TDC's consumer division YouSee said that as part of the distribution agreement with Nordisk Film announced last September, its viewers will be able to watch major domestic and international films later this year such as 'Clown – The Final', '1917' and 'Knives Out'. They will be available in YouSee's basic package of TV channels and streaming.

YouSee starts providing public broadcaster DR's streaming services

Danish operator TDC said its YouSee consumer division has integrated the DRTV streaming service from Danish public broadcaster DR in the YouSee television service. YouSee customers with a receiver or a TV package beyond the basic one can now access any DR output on any platform, wherever and whenever it suits them. It said a YouGov survey had found DRTV to be the most popular streaming service in Denmark.

YouSee expands line-up to offer stay-at-home Danes more than 50 channels

Danish operator TDC said that its consumer arm YouSee will prove more than 50 television channels to all of its viewers bewteen 03 April and 17 April, as people are staying at home because of coronavirus restrictions. Among other things, the will be able to watch every channel from TV2, Nordic Entertainment and Disney. Other material will include history and nature documentaries as well as children's shows.

YouSee grants free roaming calls and texts because of Covid-19

Danish operator TDC said mobile customers of its YouSee consumer arm can make free calls and send free texts to Denmark from abroad until the end of April. They can also make free outgoing calls and receive free incoming calls within the foreign country where they are roaming. This is so that customers who have travelled overseas so that they can stay in touch with relatives and authorities during any Covid-19 lockdowns and travel bans.
