YouTube launches ad-free subscription music service
The YouTube Music Key beta is a monthly subscription service starting with the promotional price of USD 7.99 per month (discounted from USD 9.99 per month) that provides users with access to ads-free music, background play and offline viewing. It will also include a subscription to Google Play Music, with over 30 million songs, expert-curated playlists. Music Key subscribers will soon be able to watch many YouTube official music videos right from the app. The service is available on the YouTube app for Android, iOS and on YouTube.com. Music Key will initially be offered on an invitation-only basis. Following a free 6-month trial period, Music Key will be available for the promotional price of USD 7.99 per month.
