
Ziggo starts mobile broadband services

Dutch cable operator Ziggo has launched its first mobile services, offering mobile internet for tablet and laptop users. Ziggo is using the MVNE Aspider and the KPN network for the services. The services will be offered only to existing customers, and the company hopes to eventually add mobile TV and voice services. The company offers the tariff plans basis, plus and extra for EUR 19.95, 29.95 and 44.95 per month. A promotional offer sees the prices for the first four months cut to EUR 9.95, 19.95 and 34.95. A Sim-only offer has the same monthly prices, with the promotional four months at EUR 7.45, 17.45 and 32.45. The plans come with data bundles of respectively 500MB, 2GB and 5GB. A one-time connection and delivery cost of EUR 9.50 applies.The USB modem costs normally EUR 45, but is offered free in an initial promotion.
