ZTE handset chief resigns
ZTE announced the resignation of Zeng Xuezhong, the global head of its mobile devices division. The executive VP, in charge of ZTE's smartphone business since 2014, resigned for personal reasons, with effect from 05 April, ZTE said in a statement. The company did not announce a replacement for him.

ZTE promotes US chief to head global smartphone business

ZTE has picked the head of its US business to lead its mobile phone business globally, the company told Reuters. ZTE appointed Cheng Lixin, its North America mobile devices business unit president and CEO of ZTE USA since 2010, as president of ZTE mobile devices business unit. ZTE maakt het vertrek van Zeng Xuezhong bekend. Xuezhong was wereldwijd verantwoordelijk voor de mobile devices divisie. Het vertrek is met onmiddellijke ingang, zo laat ZTE weten. Xuezhong werkte sinds 2014 in deze functie en gaat om persoonlijke redenen weg bij ZTE. Er is nog geen vervanger genoemd.

ZTE names new CEO

ZTE has announced the appointment of CTO Zhao Xianming as its new chairman and CEO, replacing Shi Lirong, who has been in the role since 2010. Its board also confirmed Wei Zaisheng as CFO and Fan Qingfeng, Zeng Xuezhong, Xu Huijun, Pang Shengqing, Zhang Zhenhui and Chen Jianzhou as executive VPs of the group. Shi Lirong will remain a member of the board of directors.
