ZTE launches touchscreen Android tablet PC
Chinese telecommunications equipment maker ZTE has launched a touchscreen tablet PC, the ZTE Light, in Beijing. The ZTE Light features a 7-inch TFT touch screen and weighs 403g. It supports voice calling on dual-band UMTS 2100 MHz/900 MHz and internet access over HSPA networks with download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 5.76 Mbps. The device features 512 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM and is based on the Android 2.1 OS. It supports various Google services, multiple e-mail accounts, desktop widget applications and online document reading and editing features. Other features include Wi-Fi, a 3 megapixel camera, music and video player with MP4 support, standard picture format compatibility, Bluetooth, an external SD Slot with up to 32 GB of memory, a 3.5mm stereo headset jack and up to 10 hours of working battery time. No details on pricing or availability were released.
