ZTE reported revenues of CNY 15.1 billion for the first quarter, up 13.8 percent from a year earlier. Net profit rose 15.9 percent to CNY 127 million. Revenue from carrier network equipment rose 1.6 percent, and terminal product sales, such as handsets and data cards increased 51 percent. Software system revenues fell 0.3 percent. Going forward, ZTE said it will focus on the growing demand for wireless broadband services and associated network upgrades and smartphones.
