Alcatel-Lucent has initiated a litigation claiming patent infringement in Federal Court in the District of Delaware against Sophos and its subsidiary Cyberoam. Alcatel-Lucent says it seeks compensation for products and services of Sophos and Cyberoam that infringe five patents relating to network security and network management. Alcatel-Lucent claims Sophos and Cyberoam are implementing Alcatel-Lucent’s patented technology in its products and services without authorization.
This is the second patent infringement lawsuit initiated by Alcatel-Lucent in May. On 1 May, Alcatel-Lucent also filed a lawsuit against Fortinet in Delaware on seven patents that Alcatel-Lucent believes are infringed by Fortinet products and services.
