Apple hires former HBO chief for Apple TV
Apple has hired Richard Plepler, the former CEO of HBO, and his newly launched production company Eden Productions, to produce original content for Apple TV, the New York Times reported. The contract is for five years. 

"Apple is one of the most creative companies in the world, and the perfect home for my new production company and next chapter," Plepler said in a statement provided by Apple, confirming the news. 

The executive left HBO soon after its acquisition by AT&T.

De directeur verliet HBO kort na de overname door AT&T.
