Apple unveils new iPad Air tablet, iPad mini
Apple introduced its newest iPad tablet, the iPad Air, which it says is 20 percent thinner and 28 percent lighter than the previous iPad, weighing just one pound. Apple has also announced an iPad mini with Retina display. The new iPads feature the Apple-designed A7 chip with 64-bit architecture, M7 motion coprocessor for faster graphics rendering, built-in Wi-Fi, expanded LTE connectivity and the new iOS 7. 

The new iPad mini with Retina display comes equipped with a 7.9-inch touch display with 326 pixels per inch and full HD 1080p video. Both iPads feature two antennas to support MIMO technology, the new FaceTime HD camera and an iSight camera with 5-megapixel sensor and advanced optics. 

The iPad Air with Wi-Fi will be available in silver or space gray starting 01 November, for USD 499 for the 16GB model, USD 599 for 32GB, USD 699 for 64GB and USD 799 for the 128GB model. The iPad Air with Wi-Fi + Cellular will be available 01 November for USD 629 for 16GB, USD 729 for 32GB, USD 829 for 64GB and USD 929 for 128GB. 

The iPad mini with Retina display will be available later in November in silver or space gray. The iPad mini Wi-Fi version will be available for USD 399 for the 16GB model, USD 499 for 32GB, USD 599 for 64GB and USD 699 for 128GB. The Wi-Fi + Cellular model will cost USD 529 for 16GB, USD 629 for 32GB, USD 729 for 64GB and USD 829 for the 128GB model. 

In the US, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile will all offer the new tablets at launch. The iPad Air will also launch on 01 November in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China (Wi-Fi models only), Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macao (Wi-Fi models only), Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. 

Apple is also lowering prices on its previous iPad models. The iPad 2 is available at USD 399 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model and USD 529 for the 16GB 3G model. The original iPad mini costs USD 299 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model and USD 429 for the cellular version.
