AT&T to extend GigaPower service to 38 more metro areas
AT&T has announced plans to launch its AT&T GigaPower fibre service to 38 more US metro areas. The up to 1 Gbps service is already available in 18 metro areas, where it passes over 1 million premises, and the operator expects to more than double its availability by the end of next year. The new expansion begins with Los Angeles and West Palm Beach, with the service already live in parts of the two cities. 

The new markets are Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile and Montgomery (AL), Fort Smith/Northwest Arkansas and Little Rock (AK), Bakersfield, Fresno, Los Angeles, Oakland, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose (CA), Pensacola and West Palm Beach (FL), Augusta (GA), Indianapolis (IN), Wichita (KS), Louisville (KY), Baton Rouge, Shreveport-Bossier, Jefferson Parish region and the Northshore (LA), Jackson (MS), St Louis (MO), Detroit (MI), Reno (NV), Asheville (NC), Cleveland and Columbus (OH), Charleston, Columbia and Greenville (SC), Memphis (TN), El Paso and Lubock (TX), and Milwaukee (WI).
