AT&T to launch first Windows phones with LTE
AT&T has unveiled a range of new LTE devices at its developers summit, including the first Windows LTE phones and a new tablet from Panasonic for less than USD 300. The Windows 7.5 phones will launch "in the coming months". The HTC Titan II is powered by a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S2 processor from Qualcomm and features a 16 megapixel camera and 4.7-inch screen. The Nokia Lumia 900 is Nokia's third Windows phone and features a 4.3-inch Amoled Clear Black screen, 1830 mAh battery and access to a range of (sometimes exclusive) content, such as Nokia Drive, EA games and apps from Univision, ESPN and CNN. It will come in black or cyan. Launching also in the coming weeks are a LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy Note, Pantech's first LTE phone the Burst for USD 49.99 with two-year contract, and the Pantech Element tablet for USD 299.99 with contract. Available from 22 January, the waterproof tablet features Android 3.2, an 8-inch display, front and rear-facing cameras, and full HTML tabbed browsing. AT&T will offer the tablet and Pantech Burst for a limited time at USD 249.99 for both. Other new LTE devices arriving in the coming months at AT&T include Sony Ericsson's Xperia ion in Q2, the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD with 4.65-inch screen and 1.5GHz processor, and the Samsung Exhilirate, made from 80 percent recylced materials and available for less than USD 50.
