Bharti Infratel sets IPO price
Bharti Infratel, the mobile tower unit of Indian operator Bharti Airtel, has set a price of INR 210 to 240 per share for its initial public offering. Bharti Infratel will offer 188.90 million shares with a face value of INR 10 each. The issue will be opened for subscription on 11 December.

Airtel sells Infratel stake for USD 350 million

Indian mobile telephony operator Bharti Airtel has raised around INR 21.4 billion (approximately USD 349.6 million) from a share sale in its unit Bharti Infratel. Via this move, Airtel sought to comply with a rule that requires listed companies to have a minimum 25 percent public shareholding. Before the sale, Airtel held a 79.4 percent stake in its mobile tower unit Bharti Infratel. Airtel sold a 4.5 percent Infratel stake on the open market.

Bharti Infratel revenues up 8% in Q3

Bharti Infratel, the mobile tower unit of Indian operator Bharti Airtel, reported revenues for the fiscal third quarter to 31 December up 8 percent from a year earlier to INR 26.3 billion. Consolidated EBITDA improved 10 percent to INR 9.8 billion, while net profit was rose to INR 2.5 billion from INR 1.9 billion. Total tower base stands stood at 81,389, while total co-locations stood at 156,336. Consolidated operating free cash flow for the quarter was INR 5.5 billion.

Bharti Infratel raises USD 760 mln in IPO

Bharti Infratel, the mobile tower unit of Indian operator Bharti Airtel, has raised around USD 760 million in its initial public offering, the Financial Times reports. The company sold 189 million shares to retail investors at INR 210 each and at INR 220 for others. This gives the company a market capitalisation of about USD 7.5 billion. Although a number of cornerstone investors signed-up, the deal was deemed only a modest success as it was marketed with a range of INR 210 to 240 per share.

Bharti Infratel allots shares to 18 investors

Indian operator Bharti Airtel's tower arm Bharti Infratel has finalised the allocation of 28.33 million shares or 15 percent of the total offer in its IPO, to eighteen anchor investors. The shares were allocated at INR 230 each, for a total INR 6.51 billion, reports The Times News Network (TNN). Bharti restructures boards ahead of Infratel IPO

Indian telecommunications company Bharti Airtel has restructured its board of directors and that of its subsidiary Bharti Infratel. Bharti plans to list the tower arm and filed the prospectus for the IPO earlier this month. Rakesh Bharti Mittal has been appointed as chairman of Bharti Infratel and the changes further ensure there will be separate representation for Bharti and Singtel on the two boards.

Bharti Airtel has filed its prospectus for the initial public offering of shares in its tower arm Bharti Infratel with the Securities and Exchange Board of India. The issue constitutes a new issue of shares by Bharti Infratel and an offer by Compassvale Investments, GS Strategic Investments, Anadale, and Nomura Asia Investment (IB) to sell shares in the infrastructure company. Bharti Airtel is looking again at listing its tower arm, Bharti Infratel. This would provide a new source of financing and an exit option to private equity firms, which have invested USD 1.25 billion in the tower company, reports The Economic Times.
