BT appoints new Openreach CEO
BT has announced the appointment of Joe Garner as the new CEO of Openreach, its wholesale network unit. He will join Openreach in mid-February to replace Liv Garfield, who is leaving to become CEO of Severn Trent. Garner's most recent role was at HSBC, where he was head of the UK banking operations.

Openreach adds fibre link to Volta data centre in London

BT's local access network division Openreach has selected Volta's Great Sutton Street data centre centre in central London to deliver high-speed fibre backhaul links. This is in response to rising customer demand.
