BT, Virgin Media ink new 5-yr MVNO agreement

BT’s EE will provide wholesale mobile network services to Virgin Media, after signing a new five-year MVNO deal. The agreement covers voice and data services and replaces an existing MVNO wholesale agreement between the two companies, extend exclusivity to 2021.

The contract will give Virgin Media increased flexibility to grow its operations faster and provide new, innovative services.

BT heeft over zijn derde fiscale kwartaal, eindigend 31 december, een omzet gerealiseerd van 6,1 miljard Britse pond, omgerekend zo'n 7,1 miljard euro. Dat betekent een stijging van 32 procent ten opzichte van een jaar eerder. De omzetstijging was vooral het gevolg van de overname van EE vorig jaar.
