
The high-tech zone of Chengdu in Western China plans to invest CNY 30 billion into attracting new research and development companies over the next five years and has sent invitations to companies worldwide. The first six projects have been announced, including the Chengdu Minshan Power Semiconductor Technology Research Institute and the Chengdu Minshan Microelectronics Advanced Enclosure Technology Research Institute, among others. These six projects received a total of CNY 450 million.
The Minshan Action was launched the Chengdu Hi-tech Zone in January, with the goal of bringing in more companies to the area. The plan is to build 50 new R&D institutions over the coming five years.
