China adds around 35 million 5G subscribers in November

China Telecom led the growth in mobile subscribers in China in November, with a net increase of 700,000, ending the month with 371.94 million in total. China Mobile lost 323,000 customers in the month, but remains the largest mobile operator on the local market with a total of 956.78 million mobile customers. China Unicom ended November with 317.34 million mobile customers, up by 505,000 from October.

China Mobile claimed the biggest gain in 5G subscribers, growing by nearly 19 million in November to 374.38 million 5G customers. China Telecom added more than 10 million 5G users in the month to reach a total of 178.76 million, and China Unicom counted 149.54 million 5G customers in November, up by 6.03 million from the previous month.

China Mobile also showed the strongest growth in the wireline broadband market, adding 2.24 million for a total of 240.56 million. China Unicom grew by 877,000 new customers to a total of 94.83 million, and China Telecom added 700,000 new customers for a base of 169.32 million broadband subscribers at end-November.
