CityFibre, the UK wholesale fibre infrastructure provider, has secured a GBP 1.125 billion finance package to support its accelerated network roll-out.

CityFibre has sold a GBP 825 million stake to investment company Interogo Holdings and the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund Mubadala. They will join existing investors Antin Infrastructure Partners and Goldman Sachs Asset Management as minority shareholders. It has also secured a GBP 300 million extension to GBP 820 million bank loan arrangements. CityFibre CEO Greg Mesch said this was the highest fundraising "ever secured" to support full-fibre network deployment in the UK.
