EE, Orange France delay HTC First with Facebook Home
UK mobile operator EE and Orange France will delay their launch of the HTC First smartphone with Facebook Home pre-installed, so that Facebook can improve its Home software, the operators told TechCrunch. According to EE, Facebook will focus on adding new customisation features to Facebook Home over the coming months. EE said it will contact consumers who registered their interest soon to let them know of the decision. A near identical statement was made by Orange France. In the US, AT&T is reportedly in the process of discontinuing the handset, but no decision has been announced officially. The operator reduced its price from USD 99.99 to USD 0.99 earlier this month.

Facebook has announced it is launching Verified Pages to help users find the authentic accounts of celebrities and other high-profile people and businesses on Facebook. Verified Pages have a small, blue check mark beside their name on timelines, in search results and elsewhere on Facebook. EE launches new 30-day 4GEE SIM Only plans

UK mobile network group EE has launched a new range of 30-day 4GEE SIM Only plans. Available in-store, via the EE online shop and EE telesales, the new plans complement EE's existing 12-month 4GEE SIM Only plans. They start from GBP 23 per month and offer unlimited UK calls and texts. Customers then add a 4G data option to suit their needs. EE is offering 500 MB, 1 GB, 3 GB, 5 GB, 8 GB and 20 GB options for GBP 23, GBP 28, GBP 33, GBP 38, GBP 43 and GBP 63 per month respectively.
