Ericsson strategy chief to leave in August
Douglas Gilstrap, Global Head of Strategy at Ericsson, will leave the company from 01 August. Gilstrap has been key to developing Ericsson's strategy over the past five years and instrumental to the company's business development and mergers & acquisitions activities, the company said. Ericsson will start the process of finding his replacement immediately. 

Since taking up the position in 2009, Gilstrap has led key projects at the company, such as dissolving the ST-Ericsson joint venture and integrating the thin modems business into Ericsson. Since 2013 he also serves as chairman of the Business Unit Modems. The company did not give a reason for his departure.

Ericsson to show new network, TV, enterprise software at MWC

Ericsson has announced its plans for the Mobile World Congress later this month in Barcelona, focusing on growth areas such as TV, enterprise mobility and mobile broadband enhancements. Ericsson CEO Hans Vestberg said he plans to stay in the job, following reports he is among the candidates to become CEO of Microsoft. Ericsson Q4 results lifted by Samsung licensing deal

Ericsson reported stable sales and improved profits in the fourth quarter, helped by its new licensing deal with Samsung.
