Philippines operator Globe Telecom’s International Business Group, in partnership with Orange, has launched the Libon Out ‘Philippines with Globe’ package offer. Developed by Orange Group, the Libon app features ‘Libon Out’ calls with rechargeable minutes to make international calls to over 140 destinations around the world.
Filipinos customers around the world can now use the VoIP application for iPhone and Android to access unlimited Libon to Libon HD calls, chats, and voicemail to a variety of international destinations. App users can take up the ‘Libon Out’ package for USD 25.99. The package includes 1,000 minutes of calls or PHP 1.30 per minute rate to any Globe and TM number in the Philippines. This is 67 percent lower compared to other app-to-Globe per minute rates, Globe says.
As a service launch promotion, until 9 September, customers who register to the Libon app will also receive 100 minutes of calls to Globe and TM numbers in the Philippines free.
Filipino workers overseas who activate the ‘Philippines with Globe’ offer should open the Libon app and from the side menu, tap their avatar at the top of the screen, and access their ‘Libon Account’ details. Customers must then purchase ‘Libon Out minutes’, select the ‘Philippines with Globe’ package and press continue to validate their choice. Billing method must be confirmed and once Google Play or App Store password is inputted, customers will then receive an email regarding confirmation of their purchase. The credits will be automatically added to their Libon account.
