Google launches YouTube Go platform in India

Google has made the beta version of YouTube Go available for download on the Google Play Store in India. The YouTube Go home screen features trending and popular videos in the customers’ area. Customers can also preview videos before they save or watch them. On YouTube Go, customers can access a preview of the video when they tap on a thumbnail.

YouTube users in India can also choose to save a video for offline viewing later or stream it now. Customers can also choose the amount of data they would like to spend on that video. Additionally, users can share videos with friends and family nearby without using any data. Videos can be sent and received instantly and offline using the YouTube Go app.

Google says the app is still in its beta release, and the company will continue to listen to users’ feedback and improve the app before launching more broadly. Google will also be holding several activities in Udaipur over the upcoming weeks to get more insights from users on the ground.
