Google names next Android Nougat
Google has confirmed Nougat as the name of the next version of the Android operating system. Android 7.0 has been known as Android N to date, while Google tests with developers the software before release. 

Google announced in May that it would take suggestions from the public for the name of the latest Android. The company announced the new name, which follows a range of sweets such as Marshmallow and KitKat, on Snapchat and Twitter. The completed version of Android Nougat is expected to be ready later this summer.

Google starts rolling out Android Nougat to Nexus devices

Google has started rolling out the latest version of the Android mobile operator system to its own Nexus devices. First previewed in March, Android 7.0 Nougat comes with over 250 major features, Google said. Android 7.0 will roll out in the coming weeks to the Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Pixel C and the General Mobile 4G (Android One) as an over-the-air software update. LG Electronics announced that its next flagship smartphone, the V20, will be the first in the world to ship with the new version of Android, known as Nougat. Alphabet underlying sales increase 25% in Q2

Alphabet, the holding company for Google and its other activities, reported sales of USD 21.5 billion for the second quarter, an increase of 21 percent from a year earlier.
