Kaspersky files competition complaint against Microsoft
Russian federal competion regulator FAS has initiated an investigation of Microsoft, reports news agency Prime. The company is suspected of abusing its dominant position in the Russian market for anti-virus protection software.

The investigation was launched on the basis of a complaint from Kaspersky Laboratory. The company announced that Microsoft has reduced the time to adapt anti-virus software from other producers to Windows from ten to six days. Kaspersky said that this requirement gives a competition advantage to Microsoft, which also produces anti-virus software. Windows Defender from Microsoft is activated by default if the software from other companies hasn't adapted to the latest updates of the Windows 10 OS.
