Lenovo unveils smartphones with interchangeable backs
Lenovo unveiled at Tech World 2016 the Moto Z family of smartphones with Moto Mods interchangeable backs that transform a smartphone into a battery powerhouse, a big screen projector or a boombox.

The Moto Z porfolio of smartphones initially comprises Moto Z and Moto Z Force which are smartphones featuring an all metal design, great low light camera performance, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor and Moto TurboPower charging. Moto Z is described as the world's thinnest premium smartphone and Moto Z Force brings the added benefits of Moto Shattershield. Moto Z and Moto Z Force are available as this summer exclusively on Verizon.

Combined with the all new Moto Mods, one can transform their Moto Z into a speaker with the JBL SoundBoost or a 70-inch movie projector with the Moto Insta-Share Projector. There’s also the Power Pack, which adds 22 hours of life to a phone and it comes in fashionable designs from partners like kate spade new york and Tumi.

Lenovo also introduced the 'Moto Mods Developer Program' through which developers can create new Moto Mods. The Lenovo Capital Fund will set aside seed funding to spur innovation on the Moto Mods platform. It will give USD 1 million for the individual or company that creates the best Moto Mods prototype by 31 March 2017.

In related news, Lenovo also unveiled an augmented reality and Tango-enabled smartphone named Phab2 Pro.
