
LG announces G Pad with 8.3-inch display

LG Electronics has announced the LG G Pad 8.3 tablet as the latest addition to its G Series range. It is the first 8-inch device to feature a Full HD display, a 1920x1200 WUXGA (Widescreen Ultra Extended Graphics Array) touchscreen. The new LG G Pad is built around a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.7GHz quad-core processor with 2 GB of RAM. The tablet runs the Android 4.2.2 operating system and comes with a 5 Megapixel rear camera, 1.3 Megapixel front camera, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. LG will exhibit the LG G Pad 8.3 at IFA 2013 before rolling it out progressively in the fourth quarter in key markets in North America, Europe, Asia and other regions.
