LG opens new software upgrade centre in Seoul
LG Electronics has opened its new Software Upgrade Center in South Korea. The facility is aimed at providing customers worldwide with timelier smartphone operating system and software updates. 

Located in LG’s new research and development campus in Magok-dong, western Seoul, the centre is charged with developing and delivering regular OS updates for LG smartphones and ensuring a consistent user experience on LG devices via regular testing. LG said the centre will mean it can roll out OS updates faster and ensure customers around the world receive the same level of quality service. 

One of the first updates from the centre will be to roll out Android 8.0 Oreo for the LG G6 later this month starting in Korea, followed by other key markets.
