Following a sharp profit drop in the second quarter, LG Electronics said preliminary results for the third quarter showed an increase in both revenues and profit. Revenues for the quarter lifted 1.8 percent year-on-year to nearly KRW 15.7 trillion, hitting record levels for Q3 results. The operator profit meanwhile advanced 4.3 percent to KRW 781.1 billion. Cumulative revenues for the first three quarters totalled KRW 46.24 trillion, also a record number.
LG plans to release its final earnings results for the quarter later this month.
