LG sees Q3 sales down 5.8%
LG Electronics has announced its earnings guidance for the third quarter of 2016. LG expects to reach consolidated sales of KRW 13 trillion in the third quarter, which represents a decline of 5.8 percent year-on-year. The company also expects an operating profit of around KRW 283.2 billion, down 3.7 percent from a year ago. 

In the second quarter of 2016, LG saw its sales reach nearly KRW 14 trillion, while operating profit amounted to KRW 584.6 billion. The company will report full quarterly results later this month.

Samsung Q3 sales to decline to KRW 49 trillion

Samsung Electronics has announced its earnings guidance for the third quarter of 2016. Samsung expects to reach consolidated sales of nearly KRW 49 trillion in the third quarter, down from a reported KRW 51.68 trillion in the year-earlier period.
