Mobistar, Telenet extend MVNO agreement to 2017
Belgian mobile operator Mobistar and Belgian cable operator Telenet have extended their full MVNO cooperation until 2017. With this contract, Telenet can broaden its mobile voice and data services, using the mobile network of Mobistar. Tecteo (VOO) will also be able to make use of the MVNO agreement for its own mobile service offerings, via a partnership with Telenet. Telenet became an MVNO in 2006 and a full MVNO in 2009.

Belgian operators Telenet and Voo must deploy a mobile network within seven months or possibly lose their 3G spectrum license, Belgian regulator BIPT told L'Echo. Telenet calls for BIPT to facilitate mobile network-sharing

Belgian operator Telenet has called for regulator BIPT to facilitate talks on network sharing. Telenet and its Wallonia partner Voo hold the country's fourth 3G licence, but have yet to launch their own network. A Telenet spokesman told Datanews.be that the company was unable to reach an agreement with the three other operators on sharing towers or radio infrastructure. Mobistar en Telenet verlengen MVNO-deal tot 2017

Mobistar en Telenet hebben hun full-MVNO samenwerking verlengd tot 2017. Met dit contract is Telenet in staat zijn aanbod voor mobiele spraak en data verder uit te breiden, gebruikmakend van het mobiele netwerk van Mobistar. Tecteo (VOO) zal via een partnership met Telenet ook gebruik kunnen maken van deze Full MVNO overeenkomst om mobiele diensten aan te bieden. Telenet werd in 2006 MVNO en in 2009 Full-MVNO.
